Conversation history

AnnA Chat does not split things into separate “conversations”: everything is a single timeline that continues where it stopped. The history includes previous service sessions, even the ones that happened over WhatsApp.

Loading older messages

Scroll up until Loading older messages… appears. The chat brings messages in blocks, so a long history is loaded gradually as you go up.

Finding your way

• Date separators split the days, with Today and Yesterday for the most recent ones.
• The unread messages marker shows where you stopped and how many messages arrived since then.

Multiple tabs

If the chat is open in more than one tab of the same browser, all of them stay in sync: a message sent in one tab shows up in the others.

When the conversation opens empty

• Public (anonymous) access: each visit usually starts from scratch, because there is no record linking you to previous conversations.
• First access: there is no history yet.
• Session ended: after logging out, a new link is required; until then the chat cannot recover the conversation.
