The chat screen

The AnnA Chat screen has three areas: the header, the conversation and the input bar.

Shows the icon and the name of the service, both defined by the company, and the Menu button (), where language, theme, notifications and the option to log out live. See Language, theme and notifications.

Messages appear in chronological order, yours on one side and the service’s on the other. Along the conversation you also find:

  • date separators, with Today and Yesterday for the most recent days;
  • the unread messages marker, showing how many arrived since your last visit;
  • Loading older messages… when you scroll up and there is older history.

Every message you send shows where it stands:

StatusMeaning
SendingStill leaving your browser.
SentReceived by the service.
DeliveredReached its destination.
ReadWas read on the other side.
ErrorCould not be delivered. Send it again.
IgnoredThe service did not take the message into account, usually because it was not expected at that point of the conversation.
