The chat screen
The AnnA Chat screen has three areas: the header, the conversation and the input bar.
Header
Section titled “Header”Shows the icon and the name of the service, both defined by the company, and the Menu button
(⋮), where language, theme, notifications and the option to log out live. See
Language, theme and notifications.
Conversation
Section titled “Conversation”Messages appear in chronological order, yours on one side and the service’s on the other. Along the conversation you also find:
- date separators, with Today and Yesterday for the most recent days;
- the unread messages marker, showing how many arrived since your last visit;
- Loading older messages… when you scroll up and there is older history.
Input bar
Section titled “Input bar”

| Emoji | Open the emoji picker, with search. |
| Attach file | Open the attachment menu: document, photos and videos, camera, audio and location. |
| Take photo | Open the camera directly. |
| Record audio | Record audio with the microphone. |
| Send | Send the message. |
Message status
Section titled “Message status”Every message you send shows where it stands:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Sending | Still leaving your browser. |
| Sent | Received by the service. |
| Delivered | Reached its destination. |
| Read | Was read on the other side. |
| Error | Could not be delivered. Send it again. |
| Ignored | The service did not take the message into account, usually because it was not expected at that point of the conversation. |
