Specialists
A specialist is a sub-assistant belonging to an agent, dedicated to one subject. The main agent consults it when a question needs depth, receives the answer and carries on the conversation.

Specialist, or another agent?
Section titled “Specialist, or another agent?”| Situation | Choose |
|---|---|
| A deep subject inside the same journey | Specialist |
| Two different journeys, with their own tone and rules | Two agents |
| The knowledge fits in a document | Neither: attach a file |
The specialist does not talk to the person: it answers the agent. Whoever speaks to the user is still a single voice, which keeps the tone consistent.
Creating one
Section titled “Creating one”Click + New Specialist and fill in:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Name | How the specialist appears in the configuration |
| Description | What kind of question it should be consulted about — this is what the main agent reads to decide |
| Instructions | Its role and how it should answer when consulted |
| Specialist active | Uncheck to disable without deleting |
The description is the decisive field. Write it as a trigger: “Consult for questions about warranty, statutory return periods and manufacturing defects.”
Specialist files
Section titled “Specialist files”Each specialist can have files of its own, listed under Specialist files. Use them for the material specific to that subject, instead of mixing everything into the main agent’s files.
How the agent consults it
Section titled “How the agent consults it”The main agent reaches the specialist through an internal consult tool. You do not need to create anything: the specialist just has to exist, be active and have a good description.
In the main agent’s instructions it is worth reinforcing the expected behaviour — for example, “consult the warranty specialist before stating any statutory period”.
